(February 2017): Boston Strategic Partners, Inc. authored poster “Pulmonary artery catheter (PAC) use is associated with improved clinical outcomes after adult cardiac surgery” has been accepted by the International Symposium on Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine (ISICEM). ISICEM will be held in Brussels, Belgium from March 21st -24th.
The BSP team conducted a retrospective study of adult cardiac surgical patients managed with and without a PAC using Cerner Health Facts electronic health records (EHR) database. BSP utilized the real-world EHR data to test the hypothesis that PAC use may provide benefits in certain cardiac surgery patients when used for monitoring purposes.
