Boston Strategic Partners is pleased to announce that the 2020 HIMSS Global Health Conference (https://www.himssconference.org/) in Orlando, Florida between March 9–13, 2020 has accepted both our submissions for presentation during the event.
Our first presentation titled ‘Building a Machine Learning Model to Drive Clinical Insights’ will be featured in the Applied Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning series. This presentation will address the major gap that exists in the timely prediction of onset of hypotension in the surgical and critical care settings. It will highlight how machine learning-based algorithms along with advanced real-world data analytics may be deployed to improve outcomes in these vulnerable patient populations.
Our second presentation titled ‘Transforming Real-World Data into Actionable Insights’ will be featured under the Biomedical and Healthcare Informatics series. Real-world data holds significant promise to drive quantifiable improvements in patient outcomes. However significant challenges persist with accessing and analyzing certain types of real-world data. From a technical perspective, this is the challenge of both data access and alignment across disparate data sources. From an analysis perspective, the challenge is utilizing this data to be able to understand the continuum of patient care as represented in the data and the ability to derive actionable insights on patient outcomes. This presentation will discuss key learnings from a novel retrospective Point-of-Care (POC) study we conducted, highlighting challenges that were faced and unique data mining approaches that were adopted.
