Business and Clinical Strategy:

  • Evaluated the commercial opportunity of introducing a second generation drug to treat opioid dependence, supporting a biopharmaceutical company’s go/no go decision through primary and secondary research
  • Provided recommendations for developing the next generation safety software for smart pumps based on a competitive landscape assessment of the medication management system market
  • Conducted market research analysis supporting organic and inorganic growth recommendations for a multi-national pharmaceutical company interested in growth options in the biosurgery market

Health Economics and Outcomes Research:

  • Leading the design and development of the BSP monthly disease awareness reports, demonstrating the firm’s capabilities and insights across various disease areas based on EHR data analysis from 720+ US hospitals
  • Led the identification and graphical visualization of the pharmacologic treatment patterns in Major Depressive Disorder and Insomnia for a biopharmaceutical company, highlighting the magnitude of a considerable heterogeneity in antidepressant use
  • Led the generation of evidence supporting the surgical use of a premium topical thrombin for a global leader in hemostasis through a comparative analysis of hospitalization costs and outcomes versus established topical thrombin medications

Medical Communications:

  • Developed a series of conference posters, presentations and manuscripts as part of a strategic scientific platform supporting the medical communication efforts of a pharmaceutical company developing novel medicines for life-altering CNS disorders
  • Informed the marketing efforts of a client interested in promoting a new diagnostic test platform for tumors and rare diseases by conducting primary research for an in-depth testing of marketing messages
  • Supported the launch of a novel injectable NSAID for a global pharmaceutical client with the development of a comprehensive medical science liaison presentation

Georgios holds a PhD in Clinical Neurosciences from the University of Cambridge, UK, and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece. He has authored 36 peer-reviewed publications and has been recognized as a Person of Extraordinary Ability in Neurosciences from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. In 2015, he received a Paul Harris Fellow recognition for his humanitarian services with Rotary International.
