Kathryn Wall, PhD

Medical Communications Specialist

Kathryn is a Medical Communications Specialist with BSP whose recent engagements with BSP focus on Medical Communications. Her recent projects include:

  • Generating conference presentation materials (i.e. posters and slide decks) for clinical studies in mood disorders and movement disorders
  • Generating and editing clinical study manuscripts on mood disorders
  • Conducting secondary research on case reports and abstract submission in preparation for an expanded publication plan

Kathryn obtained her BS in Biochemistry and Mathematics from the University of Denver, and her PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado, Boulder as well as a PhD certificate in Interdisciplinary Quantitative Biology. During her doctoral work, she investigated dynamics of disordered proteins as well as in vitro structural studies of tubulin and microtubules as related to their cellular regulation. Her academic background includes work in structural biology, biochemistry education, and biophysics, resulting in multiple first-author, peer-reviewed manuscripts. Prior to joining BSP, Kathryn worked as a freelance content writer, summarizing primary research for physicians in brief news articles and writing scientific content for general audiences. Kathryn’s professional interests in scientific communication, science collaboration, and application-based research led her to pursue medical communications as a consultant with BSP. In her spare time, Kathryn enjoys spending time outdoors, reading, and traveling.
